Publication Ethics

KATULISTIWAPEDIA: Journal of Communication and Media Studies is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and academic integrity. The journal follows established ethical principles in scholarly publishing and expects all parties involved in the publication process, including editors, reviewers, authors, and publishers, to act responsibly, transparently, professionally, and with integrity.

Authors must ensure that submitted manuscripts are original, properly cited, and have not been published or submitted for consideration elsewhere. Fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, duplicate submission, and unethical authorship practices are strictly prohibited. Authors are also required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest and obtain the necessary ethical approval for research involving human participants or sensitive data.

Editors are responsible for evaluating manuscripts based on academic quality, relevance, originality, and clarity, without discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, institutional affiliation, or personal beliefs. Reviewers are expected to maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts, provide objective and constructive assessments, and disclose any conflicts of interest that may affect their evaluation. The editorial team reserves the right to reject any manuscript that violates the journal's standards of publication ethics or academic integrity.
