Editorial Policy

The editorial policy of KATULISTIWAPEDIA: Journal of Communication and Media Studies is designed to ensure fairness, academic rigor, and transparency throughout the review and publication process. All submitted manuscripts are initially evaluated by the editorial team to assess their relevance to the journal’s focus and scope, compliance with the author guidelines, and adherence to fundamental academic and publication ethics standards.

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening undergo a double-blind peer review process by at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise. The editorial board makes publication decisions by considering the reviewers’ recommendations, the quality of the manuscript, the significance of its scholarly contribution, and its alignment with the journal’s focus, scope, and academic standards.

The journal values diversity of perspectives and encourages interdisciplinary scholarship. Editorial decisions are based solely on academic quality and relevance, without regard to the authors’ personal identity, institutional status, or geographic origin. The editorial team maintains confidentiality throughout the review process and ensures that all submitted manuscripts and related materials are handled securely, responsibly, and professionally.
